Conflict minerals

The Dodd-Frank Act requires all companies listed on the US stock exchange to report the fact of using conflict minerals - gold, tungsten, tin and tantalum from the civil war engulfed the Democratic Republic of Congo and neighboring countries in their production processes.

In practice this means that companies, not just those that are directly subject to the law but also companies which are in the supply chain of these companies, are obliged to prepare a CMRT report, in which they have to demonstrate the exact origin of used gold, tungsten, tin and tantalum and share it with their customers upon the request.
